Abstract The model of electricity consumption based on the stochastic differential equation is described in the article. Results of numerical calculations of energy consumption prognostication in 2010 based on data of energy consumption of hostel №1 of TTI SFedU campus in 2009 are given in the article. The applicability of forecasting model of electricity consumption is estimated by com- paring the calculated and actual values for the two indicators: the mean percentage error and Theil’s variance coefficient.
