Abstract In work the thermodynamic analysis of lanthanum metaborate formation in glass СТК119 at electron beam treatment with use of molecular quantum-chemical calculation of Gibbs potential in the interval operating temperature of electron beam treatment is carried out. The results show, that lanthanum metaborate formation goes in a certain band of temperatures. The high bound (1600 K) is defined by process of disintegration of La(BO2)3 molecule, and the lower (800 K) – by the mobilities of a boron oxide and lanthanum oxide molecule.
