Abstract Basic components in the time series of average annual temperature long-term observations in Japan (Tokyo) were sorted out in the work: polynomial trend, cyclical trend and nonuniform series component, using spectral analysis complemented with well-known randomness test of residual series and matching received results with results of basic time series smoothing methods. The model of this weather parameter dynamics was made at the basis of received results and probable series values were calculated till 2030.
