Abstract A problem of a carrying structure topology optimization is considered on example of a flying insect wing, that optimized during the natural evolution. New approaches to modeling of aeromechanics and mechanics of the insect wings, and to solving of structural topology optimization using the modern finite element software are presented. The statement and some results of structural optimization problem the for wing obtained by Solid Isothropic Material with Penalization-method are given and discussed.
