Abstract Conditions have been defined for asymptotic stability of open-loop and closed-loop distributed systems. The paper shows that, generally, decentralized control can ensure asymptotic stability of closed-loop controllable distributed systems only in conditions of limited intensity interaction of subsystems. A numerical example of decentralized control system design is provided.
