Abstract The solution of the pressing problem of decreasing the product cost and increasing the chemical current source quality by improving assembly procedure, providing the formation of maximum number of battery block, tacking into account the constrains and features of chemical current source production was considered. The mixed algorithm of optimal assembly based on the method of selective assembly using genetic and evolution approaches, allowing solving two types of problems tacking into account constrains on element and battery mass, block sizes was proposed. Using current algorithm in chemical current source assembly ensures expenses decreasing and product quality increasing as a result of uniformity of the physical and chemical parameters of elements involved in the block.
