Abstract The basic typological signs of an «absolutism» in the early Modern age in a historiography are analyzed in the article. It is underlined, that during early Modern period absolutism did not resemble on aristocracy of XIX century. In the monarchies of the period the advisory element prevailed, they have been more constitutional and patriarchal.
