|Abstract||Now the effect of local (fogs, precipitations, thunder-storms, etc.) and global (cyclonic processes, solar-terrestrial relationships, etc.) factors on diurnal and seasonal variations of the intensity modulation for atmospheric electric field is not adequately investigated. The simultaneous acquisition of electric field and thunder-storm characteristics is recorded to define the storm consequence in diurnal variations of electric field intensity. Involving an engineered hardware and software complex atmospheric electric field intensity statistics is received using the EFM550 devices on thunder days and days without thunderstorm, as well as lightning stroke data is received using the LS8000 lightning direction finding network. The comparative data analysis of the electric field intensity and return strokes and cloud-to-cloud discharges is performed resulting in good agreement between the lightning direction finding network data and diurnal variations of atmospheric electric field intensity for return strokes in particular. It is concluded that an extension study of larger area based on precipitations is required.|
