Abstract Evaluation of different altitude of top nozzle of nuclear reactor is annual control, carried out in accordance with demands of technological order of operation of power generating unit. The aim of control is detection of different altitude of top nozzle which under the certain values makes impossible of operation of core region. Used at present time noncontact method of evaluation of different altitude of top nozzle of nuclear reactor takes 24 hours and do not provide possibility of information processing in real time. Noncontact system of evaluation of different altitude of top nozzle of nuclear reactor is proposed. This system based on the method of processing of television images, received by special television system. Proposed method is programmatically realized. Introduction of the system of noncontact evaluation of different altitude of top nozzle of nuclear reactor in industrial process will allow excluding mechanical contact with device (top nozzle and clusters), decreasing errors of the method of calculations at operating of nuclear reactor, reducing time bill connected with transport-technological operations with nuclear fuel at the rate 24 million rubles per year.
