Abstract Statistical method of texture analysis based on gray-level co-occurrence matrix is researched and investigated in this work. Correlation analysis of texture features is performed in this investigation. Matrix invariant relative to angle rotation of image divisible by 450 is found. Methods for searching the number of textures and for image segmentation are developed here. This statistical method is tested on SAR images.
