Abstract EEG examination performed 20 patients with trigeminal neuralgia before and after microvascular decompression (MVD) of trigeminal root. Abnormalities of EEG become normal, focuses in hemispheres cortex disappeared, decreased of intensively paroxysmal discharges in brain trunk after MVD proved that neurovascular conflict are the main factor in pathogenesis of trigeminal neuralgia.
