Abstract The implementation of the modern methods for synthesis of regulators often encounters difficulties in its technical realization connecting with receiving of high complex control device in the result of synthesis. The synthesis of input-output regulators, which uses the method of modal control based on solving polynomial equations, particularly leads to necessity of pre-filter implementation. The pre-filters are sophisticated as well as the whole regulator. This article is devoted to the developing of approach, which focuses on reduction of these control devices without an influence on the performance measures of system in general. The synthesis of regulators uses the method of polynomial synthesis, which allows supporting set number of processes in automatic control system in terms of measuring only input point of control object. The reduction of control device is based on the method of equivalent structural transformations, which guaranties the permanence of transfer function of automatic control system. The implementation of the method of error coefficient supports the astatism of control influence. Proposing method of control device reduction is based on implementation of the method of equivalent structural transformations. It allows reducing the complexity of control device essentially. The differences of this method are absence of necessity in recalculating of control device coefficients and remaining the performance measures of automatic control system. The using of proposed method let make the order of transfer function of control device half as much that essentially reduces the complexity of its practical realization. In addition, the execution time of control program decreases. It is important, when the objects, which keep the high processing speed and demand small sampling times of control programs, create an automatic control system. The results of simulation analysis acknowledged the identity of performance measures the both: the reduced system and the initial automatic control system during the processing of control and disturbing actions.
