Abstract In this article the vulnerability of military robotic complexes in conditions of electronic warfare is substantiated. Main peculiarities of military robotic complexes application are listed, the need of interference immunity and stealth increasing is shown. Authors described radio coverage planning software based on digital maps. Main parts of software are described; all input and output data types are listed. Authors showed that, like in any systems of the similar type, the key component of the siftware complex is its basic radio channel model. They gave main references on both Russian and worldwide literature on the topic. Main types of calculations performed by software are described. Authors showed that software has to use terrain data, radio equipment parameters, antennas characteristics and orientation to calculate received signal level as the main important parameter. They presented visualized radio coverage for different antenna heights as example of software operation result. Authors gave their suggestions on software usage for increasing the military robotic complexes interference immunity and stealth, as well as the informational support for the robotic complex operators, taking into account the specificity of military robotic complexes. The block diagram of workstation based on the software is presented, input and output data types necessary for operation are listed. The authors also demonstrated that usage of the given software as a specialized one allows increasing robotic complex reliability and stealth, through definition of optimal control unit position and antenna’s height and orientation. In the conclusion authors showed that proper commander’s activities are important part of robotic complex reliability and stealth provision, and information support has to be mandatory requirement for both new and modernized robotic complexes.
