Abstract Possibility of titanium dioxide synthesis was investigated. An effect of electrolyte composition on the process of anode titanium oxidation with potentials of less than 10 V in hydrous solutions of ethylene glycol in presence of ammonium fluoride was researched. Lower boundaries of ammonium fluoride and water proportions for porous titanium dioxide synthesis were detected and stated. Porousness of titanium dioxide structure was demonstrated with REM method. Hypothesis about pore formation mechanism with proposed conditions of electrolyze was formulated. Kinetics of ammonium catione oxidation to nitrogen was investigated using method of cyclic voltammetry. Constant of reaction speed was calculated.
