|Abstract||The mechanism of friction is considered in this article. Explained the mechanism of increasing the resistance of the body in the gas flow with increasing its length in contrast to the existing explanation of viscosity of the gas. An explanation of the growth of the perturbed environment with increasing length of the body, which further increases the resistance. An explanation of the experimental factor equalities to zero velocity component of the gas on the surface of a solid. An explanation of the growth of the perturbed environment with increasing length of the body, which further increases the resistance. It is concluded that the mechanism of friction between two solids is the same as that between a solid and a gas, but it still adds to the Van-Der-Waals forces and mechanical hooks due to irregularities on the surface.|
