Abstract Foamed composite PENOCOM® has been designed to fulfill requirements of Russian market in low-density fire resistant, environmentally benign and energy saving materials and constructions based on local polymeric (non-polyurethane) raw materials. The PENOCOM® is produced by casting technology without applying external heating and pressure. It has fire resistant grade G1 (self retarding) and range of densities from 30 до 500 kg/m3. The PENOCOM® is used for manufacturing SIP- and sandwich-panels and for shells of oil- and pipe-lines. The fire resistance of various small-size model three-layer panels with PENOCOM® as a middle layer has been estimated.
