Abstract Possibilities of soft TERRA are viewed for thermodynamic modelling of behaviour of polymeric compounds at heating. It is shown that use of methodology of thermodynamic modelling and a program complex TERRA is able to simulate and predict phase and chemical transfomations of polymeric materials at heating. It is erected that a gas phase is contained methane, ethane, ethylene, formaldehyde, acetone, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen chloride and water vapor at decomposition of polymeric compounds. Carbon, high-molecular compounds are located in the condensed phase.
