Abstract The article is devoted to the actual topic a group use unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This task is promising and has many practical applications. Group of UAVs can be used for monitoring the environment, for mapping areas, to search for objects over large areas, etc. In this paper we consider the problem of forming structure consists of a group of UAVs. We consider the problem of determining the formation, set the criteria of quality and safety of motion and rebuild the UAV relative to each other. We consider a method for optimized distribution of UAV system to places based on a method of the iterative improvement plan. This task belongs to the classical problem of the assignment. The results of mathematical modeling of the distribution for different configurations of the given structure.
