Abstract The article presents latest achievements in the field of operative communications and specifics of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), employed by Russian Police. It contains information about recently developed Russian-made equipment, designed for setting-up of various configura- tions of mobile wireless communication networks. It sets out key problems, encountered in the process of solving tasks, pertaining to operative communication and use of UAVs and suggests some engineering solutions to overcome them. The designs’ innovation consists in the fact that the synchronous signal transmission technology was implemented for the first time in this country to set up conventional mobile wireless communications networks.
