Abstract This article is devoted to the issues of the segmentation of complex structured images, when on the border of two segments are not sharp transition from one distribution of brightness to another. A new method of segmentation difficult to segmentation images, which consists in the selection of compound fabric element. The conclusion is examined decision rules for the formation of a multi-layer image, obtained by processing the source image morphological operators. Morphological operators are based on the structure forming elements, which form an integral structure-forming element. Considered the next morphological operations of multi-Association of the received images.
