Abstract With the help of the "Apparatus for determining congenital deformities of the chest in children" (Russian Federation patent № 2175522) held torakometry anterior chest wall with calculation the entrance to the basin area, the volume of the hemispherical and flat funnel chest in children. Developed and successfully applied in 148 patients of the program to calculate these indicators. In 42 children with asymmetric funnel chest, the size expected for the resection segments ribs is different and the size is smaller than in the deleted fragments of the ribs. Requirement for further improvement of diagnostics and programming in asymmetric deformations.
